Concept

AIAP asked through an open call to create a logo and a poster for the International Conference ICHEP 2022. The brand has to summarize the territorial aspects of the host city (Bologna) and the theme of the Conference (elementary particles).
The visual system designed for ICHEP 2022 is a synthesis of the elementary physics visual language and the Bologna artistic landscape. The electron wave functions are linked to the geometric shapes of Bologna’s mosaics. The bitmap aesthetic recalls the probabilty density graphs of the wave functions.
A system of symbols was designed. The variety of shapes allows the visual communication to be variable and diversified.
